https://so08.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/AJPP/article/view/2911

This academic article had the objective to study civic republicanism and cosmopolitan citizenship by collecting information from academic documents, articles, textbooks related to citizenship issues, including related electronic media, and using concepts and theories to analyze. It was found that the concept of civic republicanism is often used as a theoretical starting point in criticizing the limitations of liberal democracy as a political ideology and it is less popular than liberalism, because of the victory of liberal democracy and politics in the parliamentary system. But the concept of republican citizenship also played an important role in political development as well as counterbalancing or balancing various forms of thinking that providing to stable democratic governance. Many conceptions of citizenship status may be appropriate for citizens in a particular society or in the context of the different society and the different citizenship characteristics may be defined differently by society. It makes the attractiveness of republican thought focuses on the principle that "citizens" must focus on the common good. The interests of specific groups must be subordinated to the interests of the public.
Supattra SantirungrojChatree Suksabay

https://so08.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/AJPP/article/view/2663

This research article examines locality through the social, cultural, economic, and political spaces of border people who live in the rural areas of Mae Sai district, Chiang Rai province, Thailand, and Tachylalic district, Myanmar. The study used qualitative research methods and collected data through interviews, small talk, and participant observation, with locality as a framework for understanding.

The study results found that borderlands milieu where mobility and interaction between people from more than one territory, ethnicity, and race have been occurring intensively for a long time have shaped the social history and lives of border people on cross-border relationships and created a diverse and complex local identity. On the one hand, creating a locality is a way to preserve the identity of local people rooted in a place that is not their original homeland. On the other hand, it has the characteristic of being an ethnic space that counts in and excludes people around it and creates a sense of neighbourliness or intrusion. However, locality as a dynamic social process can change according to the new creation within the locality itself. In some cases, locality leads to the dissolution of the state-nation borders between localities, while in other cases, it is a process of recreating cultural and ethnic boundaries.
Thikumphorn Singtomast

https://so08.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/AJPP/article/view/2458

This research aims to examine the general situation, causes, and possible solutions to the issues and obstacles in achieving a balance in natural resources and the environment based on the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) framework. The study employs a mixed-methods research approach, gathering data from 400 residents in Chonburi province and 20 key informants. Data collection tools include questionnaires and interviews. The research utilises frequency analysis, percentages, averages, standard deviations, and content analysis to analyse the data.

The research findings indicate that the government still prioritises addressing environmental issues, but natural resources are deteriorating, and the water supply needs to be increased to meet consumer needs. Sustainable development goals may be pursued in the future, but climate change significantly impacts the environment. The consequences include rising property prices, urban planning without public participation, inadequate community wastewater management, air quality issues, investor privileges, and the Eastern Economic Corridor needing to meet local needs. Therefore, it is recommended that the government takes proactive measures focusing on proactive impact prevention, especially in environmentally vulnerable and at-risk areas. Plans for environmental restoration should be established for air, water, and soil quality. This would instil confidence in development and investment in the region while ensuring land use is suitable and aligned with the area's potential.
Chatchai NaewphayaSaokum Saikaew

Even though the work groups were under different jurisdictions, there was a statistically significant difference in operational efficiency between the groups. Factors relevant to job performance, such as knowledge, understanding, and relationships with people in the workplace, as well as job security and advancement, are statistically significant. The knowledge gained through research contributes to employees' performance in completing their work in a timely manner, with quality and according to the standards as intended, and in performing their tasks efficiently.
