In terms of marketing, the target group places importance on marketing mix factors such as accessibility, reasonable pricing, service quality, and available facilities. Regarding technical aspects, the location is suitable for investment due to the area's potential for infrastructure development. In terms of management, an organizational structure that emphasizes personnel development and clearly defined responsibilities helps strengthen business stability. The recommendations from this study are that investors should continuously develop marketing strategies to meet the needs of the target group, prioritize the development of technically skilled personnel, and consistently monitor operational performance to ensure long-term business sustainability.
2025-12-01T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Modern Sport Management https://so08.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JournalMSM/article/view/6033 STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK FOR STUDENT-ATHLETES IN THAILAND NATIONAL SPORTS UNIVERSITY: INTEGRATING LTAD AND SPLISS MODELS 2025-11-22T14:46:33+07:00 Nichapa Khumpaneid kh.nichapa@gmail.com Siraphatthra Thongsawang siraphatthra.tho@dpu.ac.th Bundit Kobkarn radiusdoh@hotmail.com Samitada Sungkapo maysamitada@gmail.com Mart Maiprasert mart.mai@dpu.ac.th Peerayut Mungkung peerayut.mun@dpu.ac.th Thanatpong Sukwong sukwongthanatpong@gmail.com
This study develops the Student-Athlete Strategic Management Framework (SASMF) to strengthen the role of sport universities in promoting human and social development through sport. Guided by the Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) and SPLISS models A qualitative design was employed through Ethnographic Delphi Futures Research (EDFR). Data analysis was conducted through grounded theory and inductive content analysis, revealed five strategic domains: executive leadership, coaching and training, academic pedagogy, curriculum innovation, and sports operations and data management. The SASMF provides a practical model for harmonizing academic and athletic systems to support dual-career student-athletes in developing nations. Findings emphasize leadership integration, evidence-based coaching, flexible pedagogy, and data-informed decision-making as essential drivers of sustainable sport development. This research contributes to the field of sport for development by localizing global performance models and offering actionable insights for higher education policy, institutional innovation, and community impact in the Thai context.
2025-12-01T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Modern Sport Management https://so08.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/JournalMSM/article/view/5831 A LEAN MANAGEMENT APPROACH TO DEVELOPING A MICROSOFT EXCEL SCORING CALCULATOR FOR DECATHLON AND HEPTATHLON 2025-10-20T21:40:05+07:00 Pattarawadee On-ekkasit kratai42461@gmail.com Pacharin Jandang kratai42461@gmail.com Kanthinat Porluan kratai42461@gmail.com Penkhae Saelim kratai42461@gmail.com Nichanan Wongwiwat kratai42461@gmail.com
The objectives of this study were (1) to develop a Lean-managed spreadsheet program for calculating decathlon and heptathlon scores, and (2) to compare the scoring time between using the World Athletics (WA) standard scoring book and the spreadsheet program. An experiment was conducted with 30 participants in two phases. Phase 1 used the standard scoring book to record calculation times and to inform the Lean-based redesign of the scoring process within the spreadsheet program. Phase 2 compared the scoring times between the book and the program to evaluate the program’s time-reduction performance. Instruments included a program-use recording test and analysis with an independent t-test. The developed program computed scores exactly in accordance with World Athletics standards, simplified procedures, and reduced manual calculation errors. Expert validation by three specialists produced an index of item–objective congruence of 0.885, The reliability test has a value of 0.956. Regarding efficiency, scoring time decreased significantly: for the decathlon, the meantime fell from 28.36 to 16.83 minutes (a reduction of 11.53 minutes), and for the heptathlon from 16.23 to 11.28 minutes (a reduction of 4.55 minutes). In conclusion, the spreadsheet program effectively reduces scoring time for both decathlon and heptathlon while maintaining international accuracy standards, providing a practical approach to enhance the efficiency and standardization of athletics competitions.
2025-12-14T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Modern Sport Management
