Publication Ethics

In order for the Journal of the Faculty of Architecture and Design RMUTP to operate under ethical principles and have quality that is in line with international standards, the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon has defined the roles and responsibilities of authors, editors, and reviewers as follows:

Roles and responsibilities of authors

  1. Authors must certify that the submitted work is new and has never been published anywhere before.
  2. Authors must report the facts without distorting the information or providing false information.
  3. Authors must cite the work of others if such work is used in their own work, including providing a list of references at the end of the article.
  4. Authors must write the article correctly according to the format specified in the “Instructions for Authors”.
  5. All authors whose names appear in the article must have actually participated.
  6. Authors must indicate the sources of funding (if any).
  7. Authors must indicate conflicts of interest (if any).

Roles and Duties of Editors

  1. Editors are responsible for considering the quality of articles for publication in the journals they are responsible for.
  2. Editors must not disclose information about authors and reviewers to unrelated parties during the article evaluation period.
  3. Editors must decide to select articles for publication after the article evaluation process.
  4. Editors must not publish articles that have been published elsewhere.
  5. Editors must not reject articles for publication due to doubt or uncertainty. If they are going to reject an article, they must first find evidence to prove those doubts.

Roles and Duties of Reviewers

  1. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not disclose some or all information about the manuscript submitted for consideration to unrelated parties.
  2. After receiving an article from the editor, if the reviewer realizes that he/she may have a conflict of interest with the author, such as being a project partner or for other reasons that prevent him/her from providing independent opinions and suggestions, The reviewer should inform the journal editor and refuse to evaluate the article.
  3. The reviewer should not use personal opinions that are not supported by data as criteria for judging the article.
  4. If the reviewer finds that any part of the article is similar or repetitive with other works, the reviewer must inform the editor.
