USING LOCAL WISDOM TO ENHANCE THE HEALTH AND CREATIVE ECONOMY FOR THE ELDERLYKUAN SBDISTRICT PONG DISTRICT PHAYAO PROVINCE

Abstract

The research purposed to collect the local wisdom in Kuan Subdistrict Pong District Phayao Province and to develop products from the local wisdom for health and creative economic of the elderly group in Kuan Subdistrict Pong District Phayao Province by cooperation research. The population were 87 elderlies in Tambon Kuan by purposive sampling. Observation form and interviewing form were used as the tool and analyzed data by followed the phenomenon. The research revealed, the important wisdom of Kuan Subdistrict Community were plantings, animal husbandry, wicker, herb, massaging, blowing holy water and seupchata (to prolong the life). The products form the local wisdom that the elderly group taught to the members to produce were making the multipurpose solution; dish washing solution and mosquito protect solution, bamboo wicker; streamer wicker, basket and threshing basket. The products were used in their daily lives and someone made for selling.
