Abstract

The objectives of this research were to evaluate the live library project of Srithep Prachasan School under the Phetchabun Secondary Educational Service Area Office 40 through the evaluation of input factors, the process and output, and to determine the guidelines for developing the live library project of Srithep Prachasan School under the Phetchabun Secondary Educational Service Area Office 40. Data were collected from the population of 337 people, consisting of school administrators and teachers, totaling 49 people, 285 students and 17 experts. 30 copies of the questionnaires were distributed to school administrators and teachers and 30 copies to students, totaling 60 copies. In addition, 30 copies of interview were used to ask data from school administrators and teachers.
The results of this research indicated as follows: The analytic results of evaluating the living library project of Secondary Educational Service Area Office 40 could be divided into two steps: 1. Overall suitability of input factors was at a high level. When individual aspects were considered, an aspect with the highest mean was personnel, followed by information resources, and location, respectively. Overall suitability of the project's operation process was at a high level. When individual aspects were considered, Do (D) was at a high level. All aspects met the set criteria. Overall suitability of the project's output was at a high level. When individual aspects were considered, an aspect with the highest mean was that students know how to use the library as a learning source for researching information and gain benefits from using the library, followed by students receive knowledge and benefits from participating in the project, and students develop thinking skills and learn to use information technology, respectively.
2. The guidelines for developing the live library project of Secondary Educational Service Area Office 40 could be summarized as follows: in terms of input factors and personnel, teachers’ understanding about the objectives should be enhanced so that they could perform their duties to achieve the goals. In terms of information resources, materials and equipment should be developed to be consistent and sufficient for activities demand. In terms of location, the readiness of the school and the buildings should be analyzed to design the activities appropriately. The guidelines for project development included Plan (P) by issuing an order to appoint a responsible committee and develop a personnel structure; Do(D) by organizing reading promoting activities; Check ( C ) by preparing an integrated library use plan; and Action (A) by evaluating learning outcomes through emphasis on real situations with a variety of methods. Learning exchanges and successful presentations, and students' learning reports should be promoted as well.
