The Role of Al-Quran In Islamic Education In Indonesia

Abstract

This paper entitled " The Role of Al Qur'an in Islamic Education in Indonesia". Al Qur'an is a holly book for Islam to be applied in Islamic communities. Al Qur'an is an important document given to Prophet Muhammad to provide the way of finding the truth in the lives of Islam and to avoid man from doing bad deeds in order to enter the right way like heaven as well. Besides, It is also considered as a message to do the command of Allah and avoid all prohibition as being written in Al Qur'an and the history of the world as well as Prophets conveyed. The method used in case of searching the fact in social communities in Indonesia is qualitative method. By using this method, the research can be described how Al Qur’an be studied and read as a guide line by social communities as the findings of the research conducted. This research is later expected to be a sample in running the life, especially for Islam and others who may concern with how significance of Al Qur'an be applied in social communities in Indonesia.
