บทความนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยการสอนภาษาอังกฤษในศตวรรษที่ 21 และ 2) เพื่อศึกษาผลการตรวจสอบปัจจัยการสอนภาษาอังกฤษในศตวรรษที่ 21 การวิจัยครั้งนี้ เป็นการวิจัยเชิงพรรณนา (Descriptive Research) กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ โรงเรียนสังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร จำนวน 205 โรงเรียน ผู้ให้ข้อมูล โรงเรียนละ 4 คน ประกอบด้วย ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียน จำนวน 1 คน รองผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียน จำนวน 1 คน และ ครู จำนวน 2 คน รวมทั้งหมด จำนวน 820 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย จำนวน 3 ฉบับ ประกอบด้วย 1) แบบสัมภาษณ์ไม่มีโครงสร้าง (Unstructured Interview) จำนวน 1 ฉบับ 2) แบบสอบถาม จำนวน 1 ฉบับ และ 3) แบบตรวจรายการ จำนวน 1 ฉบับ สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ ค่าความถี่ (Frequencies) ค่าร้อยละ (Percentage) ค่าเฉลี่ย ( ) ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) วิเคราะห์ปัจจัย (Exploratory Factor Analysis) โดยวิธีสกัดปัจจัย “PCA” (Principal Component Analysis) และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา (Content Analysis) ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1. ปัจจัยการสอนภาษาอังกฤษในศตวรรษที่ 21 พบว่า ประกอบด้วย 8 ปัจจัย คือ 1) ปัจจัยหลักสูตรและการวิเคราะห์หลักสูตร 2) ปัจจัยการวิเคราะห์ผู้เรียน 3) ปัจจัยการวิเคราะห์ผู้ปกครองชุมชน และสังคม 4) ปัจจัยการกำหนดการเรียนรู้ที่คาดหวัง 5) ปัจจัยการเลือกเนื้อหา 6) ปัจจัยการจัดการเรียนรู้ 7) ปัจจัยวิธีสอนและสื่อการสอน และ 8) ปัจจัยการติดตามผลและการประเมินผล 2. ผลการตรวจสอบปัจจัยการสอนภาษาอังกฤษในศตวรรษที่ 21 มีความถูกต้อง เหมาะสม เป็นไปได้และสามารถนำไปใช้ประโยชน์สอดคล้องกับกรอบแนวคิดทฤษฎีของการวิจัย
