Factors in Teaching English in the 21st Century

This Article aimed to study (1) the component of the English teaching in the 21st Century and (2) the consideration the component of the English teaching in the 21st Century. The sample consisted of 205 Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Schools. The respondents: 4 persons in a school were a school director, an assistant school director, and two teachers, totally 820 persons. The research instruments were the unstructured interview, the questionnaires, and the check list. The statistics used the data were frequencies, percentage, mean ( ), standard deviation (S.D.), factor analysis, and content analysis. The research results were found as follows: 1. the component of the English teaching in the 21st Century, which includes 8 important 1) Curriculum and analysis of School Curriculum 2) Analysis of pupils 3) Analysis of parents’ community, and social 4) Objective leaning 5) Select of content 6) Select of learning management 7) Select of instructional and material, and 8) Follow up and evaluation 2. the component of the English teaching in the 21st Century which includes 8 important components which were found accurate, appropriate, possible, useful, and accordance with the research conceptual frameworks.
