This research explores the storytelling of Bangkhen District’s local history through creative drama, aiming to study the application of local history to local development by utilizing the “Boworn (Home-Temple-School)” principle. The project also endeavors to craft a creative drama based on Bang Khen District’s local history. This qualitative research draws from data collected via tools such as the study of relevant documents, in-depth interviews with key informants, and observations of community activities and conditions in Bang Khen, Bangkok. The results are as follows: 1. The method of applying local history to local development using the “Boworn” principle involved storytelling through creative drama, focusing on Bang Khen District’s history, including the Boworadet rebellion and Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan, also known as the democracy temple. The researcher developed a framework to apply local history in fostering local development, culminating in a creative drama titled “Boworn Santisuk.” This drama encourages community unity and strength, potentially serving as a medium for theatrical performances or activities that promote a circular economy and education within the community. It could also be integrated into the local curriculum or employed in educational and youth development programs. 2. The creative drama derived from Bang Khen’s local history encompasses three production stages: 2.1 formulating conclusions from the study and data collection of Bang Khen’s local history, 2.2 analyzing the story’s theme, and 2.3 summarizing the research findings and presenting the creative drama, which includes elements such as plot, characters, themes, language or dialogue, sound, and imagery.
