Abstract

This research article aims to analyze the 4 MAT teaching and learning process in the subject of human geography in Social Studies (B.Ed.). The population used in this study were second-year students in Social Studies at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University in the second semester of the academic year 2022. There are 3 classrooms with a total of 81 students. The tools used in the study are the Human Geography Learning Management Plan on Cultural Geography; which manages learning by using the 4 MAT teaching and learning process, amounting to 1 plan. Data are analyzed by using lecture, description, and descriptive statistics, namely mean and percentage. Results: The analysis of the 4 MAT instructional management process with 8 steps found that the assessment results obtained in each step of group work and individual work in the same direction were not more than satisfactory. Due to the nature of geography, most of the students did not like this subject because of the large amount of content. Study from the analysis indicates that it is difficult to remember a lot of information, including important things like maps. Various activities should be re-organized as group work and individual work. Reformatting the curriculum will clearly show positive differences in the learning management process, The study also shows that the assessment results are not the main factor leading to the conclusion. Factors such as teaching and learning methodologies and techniques will aid in good achievements and scores. The improvements to the process will help motivate the students to engage in learning. The aim is to provide an enhanced learning experience and create a pleasant and engaging learning atmosphere. However, teaching and learning with 4 MAT has many limitations due to outliner factors, the process of teaching and learning cannot be 100% effective according to the theoretical concept.
