The study focuses on 100 secondary school studentsas part of the research project, "Development of a Web-Based Japanese Language Application for Community-Based Tourism in Nakhon Pathom Province for Secondary School Students.” The article includes a literature review on community-based tourism and the use of online media for Japanese language education in the modern era. The objective was to assess the basic knowledge of the target group regarding both their knowledge of community's way of life and their Japanese language skills. Preliminary findings emphasize the importance of integrating community knowledge with Japanese language education, enabling students to confidently articulate and introduce their community in Japanese. The results suggest a strategic approach to teaching community knowledge alongside language skills to develop effective communication.
