Abstract

Contemporary dance is a highly-free dance style aiming at demonstrating social context. It was developed from the concept of modern dance which has no sequences of dancers. It can be performed at any time. It should occur from trying to create new things in forms of movement, ideas or elements of creativity. Its interpretation by performers and audience is independent. Even though the concept of contemporary dance has high freedom, a principle of process for contemporary dance creation is necessary. The process includes seeking sources of movement materials that requires factors to stimulate performance as well as tools and elements of contemporary dance creation. The researcher collected data by interviewing the experts of contemporary dance and documents about contemporary dance creation from inside and outside the country to get to process of contemporary dance creation which can be applied to contemporary dance creation aiming at reflecting experience and expertise of performers through sequences.
