Implementation of Eco-Tourism Policies Affecting the Community Economic Development in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Abstract
This research was objected to study 1) the ecotourism policy 2) The public participation affecting the community economic development and 3) the suggestions for the community economic development in Nakhon Ratchasima province. The sample group was consisted of 400 people, aged 18 years and over, whose names were listed in the household registration, in Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The research tool was a questionnaire. The statistics for the data analysis were Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation. and Multiple Regression Analysis.
The results revealed that the overall implementation of the ecotourism policy In Nakhon Ratchasima Province was overall at a high level. Considering each aspect, the safety tourism facilitation aspect had the highest average, followed by the developing and raising tourism standards aspect. On the contrary, the information system development and dissemination had the lowest average. For the results of the study on the public participation in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, it was overall at a high level. Considering each aspect, the participation in the decision making had the highest average, followed by the operation participation. However, the participation in receiving benefits has the least average. Apart from this, the overall community economic development in Nakhon Ratchasima Province was at a high level. Considering each aspect, the self-reliant community creation had the highest average followed by the promotion for the expansion of the grassroots economy. On the contrary, the aspect of strengthening the organization to have high performance had the lowest average. However, it was suggested to promote the integrated ecotourism for the community economic development to be able to create the sustainable economic foundation.
