ทักษะอนาคตเป็นกรอบความเชี่ยวชาญและความสามารถของผู้นำในการบริหารจัดการให้เกิดคุณภาพ มีอิทธิพลและบทบาทสำคัญต่อองค์กรในอนาคต เป็นทักษะที่มีความโดดเด่น ทำให้ผู้นำสามารถเตรียมความพร้อมที่จะรับมือกับความเปลี่ยนแปลงของโลก เป็นเครื่องมือในการบริหารจัดการองค์กรให้เกิดประสิทธิภาพ ทักษะอนาคตที่จำเป็นสำหรับผู้นำมีทั้งทักษะที่ปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI) ทำแทนได้ ได้แก่ การแก้ปัญหา การสื่อสาร การคำนวณ การวิเคราะห์เรื่องที่ซับซ้อน และทักษะที่ AI ทำแทนไม่ได้ ได้แก่ความฉลาดทางอารมณ์ ความฉลาดทางวัฒนธรรม มนุษยสัมพันธ์ การปรับตัวและยืดหยุ่น
