The Development of Online Lessons with Google Site to Encourage Learning Achievement for the Basic Operating System Course: A Case Study of Vocational Students of Pattani Vocational College

Abstract

This objectives of this research were to: 1) develop online lessons with the Google site for Basic Operating System Course to meet the 80/80 criteria, 2) compare the academic achievements before and after studying, and 3) study the students' satisfaction towards the learning management through the online lessons using the Google Site. The target group in this research were 35 vocational certificate students who enrolled in this course, subject code 20204-2001. They were in their 1st year of Commerce Branch, Business Computer Program, in the first semester of the academic year 2022. The samples were obtained by purposive sampling method. The research tools included: 1) online lessons with Google Site for Basic Operating System Course, 2) lesson plans for Basic Operating System Course, 3) achievement tests of the 7 learning units, and 4) questionnaires for students' satisfaction towards the use of Online lessons with the Google Site of 5-level rating scale. The statistics used to analyze the data was percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results showed that the learning management through online lessons with the Google Site for Basic Operating System Course had an efficiency (E₁/E₂) of 81.06/84.65 which was higher than the set criterion. The learning achievement of the students before and after studying showed that there was a statistically significant difference of 0.05. Moreover, the students were satisfied with the learning activities conducted through the online lesson at a high level.
