The Development and Efficiency Finding of Automatic Engine Cylinder Head Cleaner

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) develop an automatic engine cylinder head cleaner, 2) find the efficiency of the automatic engine cylinder head cleaner, and 3) study the satisfaction of technicians towards the automatic engine cylinder head cleaner. The samples consisted of 20 technicians working in Isuzu Chiang Rai Co., Ltd. and Chiang Saeng Co., Ltd., Muang District, Chiang Rai Province by purposive sampling technique. The research tools included an automatic engine cylinder head cleaner and the satisfaction questionnaires analysed by percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research results were as follows: 1) the developed automatic engine cylinder head cleaner is 45 centimetres wide, 80 centimetres long and 130 centimetres high. It is powered by an electric motor driving the rotor to rotate to clean the engine cylinder head. The rotor is controlled by a limit switch which makes the rotor slide back and forth on the rail in a given position. 2) The average duration in cleaning one engine cylinder head was 46.69 minutes decreasing by 3.31 minutes with 93.38%. 3) The technicians reported very high satisfaction towards the automatic engine cylinder head cleaner.
