The Protection for Night Workers According to the International Labour Standards
Abstract
Currently, Thailand does not have specific law dealing with measures for the protection of night workers resulting in those workers whose work may affect their health do not have protection. The International Labour Organization has adopted Night Work Convention, No.171,1990 and Night Work Recommendation No.178, 1990 establishing the rights of night workers. The study concludes that the principles of the Convention and the Recommendation should be applied to improve Thai laws for the protection of night workers in normal working time, wages, safety, occupational health and welfare.
