Objectives and Scope of the Journal:
The journal aims to publish high-quality articles in the field of political science and public administration. The target audience includes professors, students, and researchers both within and outside academic institutions.
Types of Articles Published in the Journal:
The journal accepts academic articles, research articles, and book reviews.
- Academic articles present analysis, critique, and knowledge synthesis, specifying background, objectives, and problem-solving approaches related to relevant theories. Articles should present existing or new theories referenced by credible scholars, contributing to the development of knowledge in political science and public administration. The average word count for scholarly articles should not exceed 8,000
- Research articles present original research related to political science and public administration, with clear, concise, innovative content, well-structured with a discussion of research findings. The average word count for research articles should not exceed 8,000
- Book reviews narrate and provide insights on a specific book, intending to introduce it to readers. Reviews should include complete bibliographic details, the book's type, content scope, special features, such as illustrations, indices, evaluations, reasoned recommendations, suitability for specific reader groups, and comparisons with other books in the same category. Reviewers should have expertise in the field and provide their names or information for credibility assessment.
Publication Schedule: 3 issues per year
Issue 1: January - April
Issue 2: May - August
Issue 3: September - December
Article Review and Selection Process:
Each article undergoes peer review by at least 3 reviewers with expertise in the relevant field and approval from the editorial board before publication. Reviewers and authors remain anonymous during the review process (Double-Blind Peer Review).
Language Usage:
The journal accepts articles in both Thai and English, with a focus on clear and concise language usage.
Publication Fee:
The journal has a policy of charging publication fees after acceptance (upon acceptance for publication only, one-time payment). In this regard, the journal will issue receipts for payment to the submitting authors through the society. The publication fees are as follows:
- Academic articles or book reviews: THB 3,000 (three thousand baht) per article
- Research articles: THB 4,000 (four thousand baht) per article
Please make the payment only after receiving the payment request email from the journal. The journal will not refund the publication fees under any circumstances.
Freedom of Access Policy:
This journal aims to provide access to articles in the fields of political science and public administration and to disseminate research to a wide audience. General interest individuals can access articles openly, meaning all published articles are freely available online to anyone, anywhere in the world, without charge.
Ownership and Management:
The Journal of Political Science and Public Administration is owned by the Political Science and Public Administration Association and receives partial support from Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. The journal's operations and management are funded through various sources, ensuring high publication standards are maintained. The editorial process involves rigorous peer review by qualified experts.

AJPP is an officially peer-reviewed journal under the supervision of the Graduate Program in Political Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Thailand.
Copyright and Licensing:
The journal prioritizes copyright protection and licensing to safeguard authors' rights and ensure appropriate dissemination. The policy emphasizes openness, accessibility, and source attribution. Authors retain copyright ownership of their work, and articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), allowing sharing, adaptation, and proper attribution. Authors are encouraged to publish under the CC BY license, permitting broad reuse and distribution. The journal supports posting articles in personal repositories, with institutional and funding constraints. Authors are responsible for explaining copyright terms and licenses, empowering them with knowledge of their rights and obligations. This policy delineates collaborative work boundaries, openness, and shared responsibility, ensuring authors and research communities retain intellectual property rights.
Revenue Sources:
The journal receives partial financial support from the Graduate Program in Political Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, and publication fees from article submissions.

The journal adopts direct marketing strategies through official channels such as email, Facebook, and the ThaiJo website to increase visibility and continuous acceptance. Transparency is maintained throughout the advertising policy, with relevant and appropriate advertising activities, including participation in academic conferences, educational events, research institutions, and educational institutions. Additionally, the journal presents itself as a partner journal for related conferences, without any advertising partnerships influencing editorial decisions. Quality assurance is ensured through rigorous editorial review processes, upholding the highest publication standards.
