INTEGRATING BUDDHADHAMMA TO PROMOTE PEOPLE'S POLITICAL PARTICIPATION IN LOCAL ELECTIONS IN PHETCHABURI PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research article are 1. to study the conditions of people's political participation 2. to study the factors affecting people's political participation and 3. To present the integration of Buddhist principles to promote political participation of citizens in local elections in Phetchaburi Province. It is a combined method research. Qualitative research collects data from key informants by means of in-depth interviews and descriptive content analysis. and quantitative research Data were collected using questionnaires from a sample of 400 people who were eligible voters aged 18 years and over in all 3 electoral districts. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

The results of the research found that: 1. Conditions of political participation of people in local elections in Phetchaburi Province. It was found that people easily received political news and quickly through online channels This results in stimulating political participation, changing the attitude that Politics is none of our business. But politics is our business. From birth until death 2. Factors affecting the promotion of political participation of citizens in local elections in Phetchaburi Province Awareness of political news and in terms of feelings, there is political competence. and the principles of Aparihaniyadhamma 7 have an influence on the integration of Buddhist principles to promote political participation of citizens in exercising their rights in local elections in Phetchaburi Province, 77.40 percent. 3.
