THE FACTORS AFFECTING POLITICAL PARTICIPATION DEVELOPMENT OF PEOPLE IN ANG THONG PROVINCE

Abstract

This research paper aimed to study the level of political participation of people in Ang Thong province and the factors affecting the development of political participation of people in Ang Thong province through mixed methods.  The qualitative research method. They collected data by in-depth interviewing. Nineteen key informants and 8 participants were in the focus group discussion. Data were analyzed using descriptive content analysis.  The quantitative research used a questionnaire with a confidence value for the entire version equal to 0.930. Data was collected from 400 samples, namely people in Ang Thong Province who are 18 years of age and over. Frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations analyzed data.

The results showed that the people's political participation level in Ang Thong province was high. Factors Affecting the Development of People's Political Involvement in Ang Thong Province The factors affecting the development of political participation in all 4 aspects were analyzed statistically. Four variables were positively correlated with people's political participation, with a statistically significant value at 0.01 level. The factor with a statistically significant value at the level of 0.01 was freedom of thought. Aspects of monitoring and criticizing the operation of the state. Political awakening. Government and political support were the determining factors affecting people’s political participation in Ang Thong Province.
