The Impact of Teamwork on Creative Making of Traditional Spider Web Flags (Tung Yai Mangmum) among Grade 8 Students

Abstract

This research aimed to study the group work behavior, creativity, and satisfaction of Grade 8 students who participated in the activity of crafting traditional spider web flags (Tung Yai Mangmum). The study employed a group process framework to enhance student learning. The target population consisted of 160 students. Research instruments included a group work observation form, a creativity assessment form, and a satisfaction questionnaire. All tools were verified for content validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics including percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results revealed that students' group work behavior was at a very good level (mean = 3.26), particularly in the aspect of mutual support. Creativity in the flag-making task was rated at a good level (mean = 2.97), showing students' ability to select appropriate materials, apply thoughtful designs, and produce neat and original work. Student satisfaction with the activity was at a high level (mean = 4.49), especially in terms of engagement and knowledge gained. These findings indicate that the activity effectively promoted learning through practice, social skills, creativity, and positive learning attitudes.
