Abstract

The guidelines for promoting high-quality Dual Vocational Education (DVE) management and increasing the number of students enrolled in the DVE system have been formulated in accordance with the imperative policy of the Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC). The goal has been clearly set to improve the quality of dual vocational education management and increase the number of dual vocational education students in both public and private educational institutions under OVEC, so that by the year 2025, 50 percent of all vocational students should be enrolled in the DVE system. This is accomplished by raising the level of collaboration amongst partners in the networks, which include 5 major councils, 77 provincial vocational education offices, and 23 vocational education institutions, as well as public and private enterprises. These networks play a crucial role in promoting vocational colleges as well as in integrating with other agencies in the local areas. The aforementioned propulsion strategy is built around 3S 1 P concept (Semsarng: Strengthen, Songserm/Sanapsanun: Support, Prapprung: Improve) which serves as the foundation for the operations. To achieve high-quality Dual Vocational Education (DVE) management and increasing the number of students enrolled in the DVE system, determining clear policies and guidelines is crucial for supporting the implementation. In addition, collaboration with partners from all pertinent sectors within the networks, monitoring and evaluating the management. of dual vocational education at the provincial level, continuous monitoring and reporting on the progress of operations, as well as the development of a database system by the Dual Vocational Education Center (DVE DATA) that is efficient and comprehensive in all dimensions, are all essential elements for achieving successful concrete results for promoting the dual vocational education in Thailand.
