Abstract

This academic article aimed to explore the application of the Buddhist principle of Majjhimapatipada (the Middle Way) in the administration of public policy in Thailand. The study focused on the Eightfold Noble Path as the core of the Middle Way and analyzed its relevance to key stages of the policy process, including problem identification, policy formulation, implementation, and evaluation. The findings suggest that integrating the Middle Way into public policy can enhance balance, reduce extremism, and instill ethical governance. It also strengthens the foundation of good governance and promotes long-term public trust in government institutions.
