Factors affecting success in educational management in the digital age of colleges under vocational education in Phetchaburi Province

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) study the level of factors affecting success in educational management in the digital age, 2) study the level of success of educational management in the digital age, and 3) analyze the factors affecting the success of educational management in the digital age of colleges under vocational education in Phetchaburi Province. The research population consisted of 344 administrators and teachers from vocational colleges in Phetchaburi Province. The sample size was 333 people, determined by Taro Yamane's formula with a margin of error of 0.01 through multi-stage random sampling. The research instrument was a 5-level Likert scale. The statistics for data analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The research findings revealed that 1) eight factors significantly influenced the success of educational management in the digital age at a high level as follows: administrative leadership ( = 4.49), curriculum quality ( = 4.47), structure and policy ( = 4.45), school culture ( = 4.44), administrative support ( = 4.44), teacher quality ( = 4.44), parental, business, and community involvement ( = 4.40), and environment and atmosphere ( = 4.35). 2) Three aspects of the success of educational management in the digital age also included knowledge, skills, and applications on ethics, morality, and desirable characteristics. 3) Six factors significantly influencing the success of educational management in the digital age in vocational colleges in Phetchaburi province included the involvement of parents, business enterprises, and community; school culture; environment and atmosphere; administrative leadership; and administrative support, and the quality of the curriculum. The predictive efficiency value was 61.30 percent.
