School-Based Management of schools in Nakhon Ratchasima Secondary Education Service Area

Abstract

          The research purposes were (1) to study the school-based management of schools in Nakhon Ratchasima Secondary Education Service Area; and (2) to compare the school-based management of schools under the jurisdiction of Nakhon Ratchasima Secondary Education Service Area according to the teacher opinion, classified by work experience. It was the quantitative research. The population was the 4,338 school teachers under the jurisdiction of Nakhon Ratchasima Secondary Education Service Area Office. The sample group consisted of 221 teachers, determined by the Krejcie & Morgan table, and selected by the simple sampling method. The research instrument was the questionnaire with reliability at .92. The data analysis statistics were the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test. 

The results of the research were;

1. The school-based management level of schools in overall was at high level. Considering at each aspect was found that all aspects were at high level; the highest mean was the checks and balances aspect, followed by the aspect of returning the power to provide education to the people aspect, and the lowest mean was the self-management aspect; and 
2. The school-based management level of schools was found that the teacher’s opinion with different work experienced on school-based management of schools under the jurisdiction of Nakhon Ratchasima Secondary Education Service Area Office were different statistical significance at .05 level.
