Abstract

        Teachers play an important role in educating young children. A good teacher should have knowledge along with morality. The teaching profession is highly regarded as a noble profession that is essential to society. It also helps create professions to sustain the society in the right direction. This article aims to point out the effects of project-Approach learning towards the development of early childhood teachers in the 21st century according to teachers’ competency. If teachers can apply such an approach in their classroom, it would be beneficial to all students.

        Project - Approach learning is based on the idea that the project will create new knowledge of human actions and interactions with others. This teaching approach is also related to-prior-knowledge. Project - Approach learning activities give students the opportunity to express their knowledge and build self-knowledge through the process of learning (Ladda Pookiate, 2009). Students will work together as a team and solve the problems that exist in real life. They will learn to assess the learning skills and work more efficiently. Moreover, project- Approach learning will enhance them the significant 21st century skills for professional teachers according to teachers’ competency.
