Abstract

Music and performance are creations of humanity, serving as integral components of art and culture. Each region possesses unique musical and performance art traditions that reflect the beliefs, customs, rituals, and ways of life of ethnic groups, either developed independently or passed down through cultural diffusion. These traditions are often adapted to suit the context of local communities. This study aims to: 1) Explore the music, performance, and cultural arts of Ban Dan Muang Kham, Khok Si Suphan District, Sakon Nakhon Province. 2) Develop and revitalize the music, performance, and cultural arts of Ban Dan Muang Kham, Khok Si Suphan District, Sakon Nakhon Province. The research involves a sample group consisting of five cultural experts, ten practitioners, and thirty general informants interviewed during the study. The research spans from October 2023 to September 2024. The tools used include structured and unstructured interviews, participant and non-participant observation, with findings presented in a descriptive analytical format.
