Abstract

This research aims to compare the achievement in mathematics on the topic of Matrix by organizing mathematics learning that emphasizes models and strategies based on the concepts of Maynes and Julian-Schultz, and the learning in the normal way for experimental group and control group respectively. Moreover, compare the achievement between the control group and the experimental group. The sample group used in this research was grade 11 students of Wat Pradu Nai Songtham School, totaling 47 students. The results of the research found that the achievement of the experimental group and control group have average score after learning was higher than before learning at statistically significant level of .05. Moreover, the students of experimental group have the achievement higher than control group at a statistically significant level of .05.
