The academic article Philosophy of Education for the Development of Quality of Life aims to analyze the role of educational philosophy in promoting human quality of life in contemporary society. Quality of life is understood from a holistic perspective that encompasses both external dimensions, such as knowledge, skills, and the ability to function in society, and internal dimensions, including happiness, meaning in life, and self-understanding. This article employs documentary analysis of philosophical and educational literature, covering mainstream educational philosophies, alternative approaches, and Eastern educational philosophy, with particular emphasis on Buddhist philosophy. The analysis focuses on examining how education can connect learning processes with the development of quality of life. The findings indicate that educational approaches emphasizing experiential learning, reflective thinking, and holistic human development can effectively integrate the development of external competencies with the cultivation of learners’ internal values. Such integration contributes to a balanced development of quality of life. The article concludes that education should aim to develop individuals who are able to live meaningful and high-quality lives, which serves as an essential foundation for the sustainable development of quality of life in contemporary society.
