Aims and Scope

ARTS is a scholarly journal that follows a rigorous double-blind peer-review process. It is an online, open-access journal published every four months and overseen by the Faculty of Arts at Silpakorn University. The journal is dedicated to publishing original, high-quality research articles, review articles, and book reviews in the fields of humanities, social sciences, fine arts, and topics related to Thai studies.

Scope of Topics ARTS welcomes manuscripts on a wide range of subjects, including:

  • Humanities: Encompassing language, literature, and linguistics, with a focus on their structure, usage, and cultural impacts.
  • Social Sciences: Including history, sociology, anthropology, economics, geography, library and information science, political science, philosophy, religion, and cultural studies, examining human behavior and societal dynamics.
  • Fine Arts: Covering visual arts, performing arts, music, and art history, emphasizing creative expression and its historical and cultural significance.

Additionally, ARTS encourages articles exploring Thai studies across various disciplines, such as language, culture, traditions, arts, politics, and administration. The journal provides a platform for comprehensive research and scholarly discourse.

Starting in 2024, the Journal of Arts and Thai Studies will require the inclusion of graphical abstracts as part of the submission process via the journal's website. Authors submitting articles are requested to provide graphical abstracts following the guidelines specified by the journal.
