A Brief Introduction to the Domestic and Overseas Research of Deutschland-Institut

Abstract

As the unique Sino-German academic and cultural center, Deutschland-Institut has attracted researchers’ attention, whereas the findings have emerged gradually since the 1980s. In light of the methodological “trinity” of “historiography”, “biography” and “critical comments”, this article presents the research of Deutschland-Institut both in domestic as well as overseas academic circles, commenting on the research merits and demerits specifically. Based upon these considerations, it accentuates the research prospect of Deutschland-Institut, especially concerning studies of scholars, publications and book collection, the complicated relation between research and politics, for future advancement.
