Empirical research is a scientific research because it is done systematically and can be verified and repeated for validity of research result as the principles of scientific method.
Empirical research is based on factual evidence or empirical data as rational-empiricism.
Empirical research makes use of the complementary nature of qualitative and quantitative approaches in research problem specification, data collection, data analysis and interpretation.
In conclusion, empirical research is scientific research that is based on empirical evidence or empirical data and complementary nature of qualitative and quantitative approaches as well as Aristotle’s principle of rational-empiricism that can be traced back since 384-322 B.C.
