Guidelines for the administration of elementary moral schools in Uthai Thani Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the problems in moral school administration at the primary education level to find guidelines for moral school administration at the primary education level, and to evaluate the guidelines for moral school administration at the primary education level. The sample group consisted of 401 administrators and teachers of elementary moral schools in Uthai Thani Province. The research instruments were questionnaires using a 5-point rating scale, focus group discussion records, and an evaluation form for moral school administration guidelines at the primary education level. The statistics used were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research findings revealed that: 1) The level of administration problem of elementary moral schools in Uthai Thani Province overall was at the moderate level. When considering each aspect, it found that environmental aspect had the highest problem level at the moderate level. Followed by the student was at the moderate level.  And the lowest problem was administrators at a low level. 2) Guidelines for the administration of elementary moral schools all 6 areas were 2.1) administrators should follow the principles of educational institution administrators with the principles of good governance. 2.2) Teachers and personnel should appoint the committee to take responsibility for the moral school project. 2.3) Student should manage school curriculum or teaching and learning that integrates Buddhism. 2.4) Environment should provide a clean, shady, and safe environment. 2.5) Participation process  should provide an opportunities for all groups to jointly develop Best Practices for moral schools. 2.6) Plans to promote morality and ethics should  prepare for work, listening for the progress of work and giving advice and suggestions. 3) The results of the evaluation of guidelines for administration of elementary moral schools overall, in terms of accuracy, suitability, feasibility was a high level, and usefulness was a highest level.
