Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the level of public opinion on the role of Nakhon Phanom Municipality in management using the principles of good governance and to compare public opinions on the role of Nakhon Phanom Municipality in management using the principles of good governance classified by personal factors including gender, age, education level, occupation, and average monthly income. The sample group used in the research was 394 people. The research instrument was a questionnaire, which had the reliability value of 0.87 for the entire version. Statistics were used to analyze data, including frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and F-test values with statistical significance set at the 0.05 level. The results of the research found that 1) People's opinions on the role of Nakhon Phanom Municipality in management using the principles of good governance overall and in each aspect were at a high level, ordered from highest to lowest average including, the principle of participation, the principle of rule of law, the principle of morality, the principle of value for money, the principle of responsibility, and the principle of transparency respectively. 2) Comparing the role of Nakhon Phanom Municipality in management using the principles of good governance, it was found that people of different ages, and occupations had different opinions on the role of Nakhon Phanom Municipality in management using good governance principles. Overall, they were significantly different at the 0.05 level. As for the people with different genders, educational levels, and average monthly incomes had different opinions on the role of Nakhon Phanom Municipality in management using the principles of good governance. Overall, there was no difference.
