Abstract

The temples are the community centers for practicing religion and inculcating morals and ethics so that the people will be decent. Therefore, the temples play a very important role in Thai society both in the past and present. The Sangha Supreme Council of Thailand is the ultimate governing body which supervises the administration of the temples and the Buddhist monks (Sangha) to be carried out orderly and smoothly.  In order to manage the affairs of the Thai Buddhist monks (Sangha) to be more efficient, appropriate administrative factors and process must be applied.  To gain the effectiveness of administrating the Thai Buddhist monk affairs, six aspects should be taken into account: the governance, religious education, educational welfare, religious dissemination, public utilities. and public welfare.
