GUIDELINE FOR COMMUNITY BASED TOURISM OF BANPONGTHUM, WANG NUA, LAMPANG PROVINCE

Abstract

This research objective was to study and the potential for community based tourism development at Banpongthum, Wang Nua, Lampang Province. This study was done by qualitative and quantitative methods using in-depth interviews with experts who are involved and engaged in community based tourism destinations of Banpongthum, Wang Nua, Lampang Province, population being 20 people as well as applying a community based tourism quality standard evaluation form as a tool for this survey. Data was analyzed by two ways: 1) qualitative data was analyzed through relevant literatures, field observation and interview, and 2) quantitative analysis was done though questionnaire. The basic statistics used to analyzed data were percentage and mean. The findings showed that Banpongthum had a potential to develop into the Community based tourism destination because of its location and. However, the priority should be given to the management of community based tourism. The area must be defined for tourism management by using completely contact. Another factor to consider was people development related with stakeholder beneficial. And to consider to sustainable a nature resource management and environment. By conduct to awareness the environment. By conclusion in Conservation and promotion of cultural is average 4.80, Service and Safe is average 4.53, Resource Management and Sustainable environment is average 4.22 and the lowest of the average 3.78 is Community – based Tourism Management.
