Soft Power in German Movie Good Bye, Lenin!: Using of Political Science Perspectives for Analysis of Language and Symbols in movie

This research aims to use Soft Power theory for analysis and understanding the relationship and influence of Soft Power to society in various ways through the German film Good Bye, Lenin! by Wolfgang Backer. The results showed that the movie had reflected the using of soft power tools in society and using for communication with society.
Soft Power Theory was used as a persuasive mechanism to induce attitudes, create values, control behavior change and issue policies to people and society through various strategies. The Soft Power is connected with all sorts of political, cultural, economic, information and communication connections, fashion, art, architecture, history, and language. The people do not know and recognize that power but it affects the people and society to meet the goals. It was also found that the soft power that appeared in history, especially in Germany from 1949-1990 was found. This can be further studied.
