Analysis of Thesis Title at Japanese major of Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai

Abstract

This paper is a study of the topic selection of graduation theses written so far in the Japanese language major of Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai, in Guangdong Province, China. The reasons for the choice of theme were explored based on the curriculum and course content of the Japanese language major and the materials used in the research. The results revealed that about half of the graduation theses that chose a theme in the field of linguistics were on sociolinguistic themes. And it was also clear that many of the studies used content that students were always familiar with, such as TV drama and lyrics, as primary sources.
