Abstract

Abstract

              The objectives of this research were (1) to create and inspect the quality of learning activity plan based on the concept of multicultural studies to improve reading comprehension of ethnic group students; and (2) to compare the pretest and post-test results of the development of reading comprehension among the ethnic group students. The sample group consisted of 30 first-year ethnic group vocational students from Chaiphanphong College of Technology in Semester 1, Academic Year 2023, selected by purposive sampling. The research tools consisted of (1) five multicultural study-based learning activity plans; and (2) a reading comprehension assessment plan. Statistics used in the study were the mean, standard deviation, and one sample T-test.

                The results were that: (1) the result of the multicultural study-based reading comprehension learning activity plan assessment was that all learning plans got the highest rating; and  (2) the post-test reading comprehension score of ethnic group students was higher than the pre-test score with a statistical significance level of 0.5
