The Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy, “Khok Nong Na” Model

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the outcomes of applying the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy through the Khok Nong Na Model and to establish practical guidelines for its implementation in agricultural occupations and daily life, based on the Principles of this new theory.  The study examined sample groups that had successfully, establishing career, and developing learning and sanctuary centers.  The researcher focused on samples in four districts of Saraburi Province:  Muang, Nong Saeng, Sao Hai, and Muak Lek.

                The findings were analyzed qualitatively.  The analysis conducted that representatives from all four focus groups-the expense deduction group, the self-reliance group, the job and career development group, and the learning and shelter center group-reached their state goals. This success was linked to their application of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy and new theory agriculture of the Khok Nong Na to their farmsteads.
