Announcement of Revision of Aims and Scope of Journal of Management Science Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University
Following the announcement of additional (new) criteria by the Thai Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI) for evaluating new journals seeking entry into the TCI database from 2026 onwards, one key requirement states:
"Journals must have Aims & Scope that are not similar to journals from the same organization (consideration at the university, association, department, or equivalent level) that are already in the TCI database. Evaluation is at the discretion of the Evaluation Committee."

To comply with TCI standards and to maintain the unique identity of the Journal of Management Science Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, which is already indexed in TCI Tier 2, and to prevent overlap with the Modern Public Administration Science Journal, which is a new journal within the same faculty, the Editorial Board of the Journal of Management Science hereby announces the revision of the journal's Aims and Scope to ensure clear and distinct differentiation as follows:
Principles of RevisionTo comply with the announcement of the Thai Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI) regarding additional (new) criteria for evaluating new journals seeking entry into the TCI database from 2026 onwards, and to enable both journals within the Faculty of Management Sciences to operate effectively in parallel without overlap, the Editorial Board has established clear scope separation principles as follows:
Journal of Management Science Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University (JMSSNRU)- Focus: Private business sector and general management ONLY
- Accepts articles on marketing, finance, banking, accounting, business administration, SMEs, entrepreneurship, retail business, and international business
- Focus: Public sector, government, and public organizations ONLY
- Accepts articles on public administration, public policy, politics, local government, public finance and budgeting, public human resource management, public service delivery, and educational administration
The Journal of Management Science Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University (Revised Edition) has the following objectives:
- To serve as a platform for disseminating high-quality research and academic articles on business management and business innovation
- To promote the creation of new knowledge for developing the competitive potential of Thai businesses, especially SMEs
- To support the development of entrepreneurs and business executives with contemporary knowledge and skills
- To promote integration between management theory and business practice
- To build academic collaboration networks in business administration both domestically and internationally
- To be a reliable source of knowledge for business practitioners, entrepreneurs, and academics

All articles submitted from the effective date of this announcement will be evaluated according to the revised scope.
Note: Articles under review before April 1, 2026 will continue to be evaluated under the previous criteria.
