DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY EFFICIENCY PERFORMED BY THE PERSONNEL OF PROVINCIAL ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT, MINISTRY OF INTERIOR

Abstract

     The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the level of personnel digital skills of the personnel of the administration department, Ministry of Interior, 2) to study digital skill that affected on the digital technology
efficiency performed by the personnel of provincial administration department, Ministry of  Interior, and 3) to explore and gain guidelines on improving the digital technology efficiency performed by the personnel of provincial
administration department, Ministry of Interior. The sample group consisted of 3 10 Deputy District Chiefs who reported to the department of provincial administration, Ministry of Interior. The size of the sample was calculated by using Yamane's formula. The tool used to collect the data was a set of questionnaires and statistics employed for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis. The study revealed these results: 1) Factors in digital skills of the personnel of the provincial administration
department, Ministry of Interior, overall, were at a high level. 2) The overall efficiency of the digital technology performed by the personnel of the provincial administration department, Ministry of Interior, was at a high level. 3 ) The digital technology skills significantly influenced on the digital technology efficiency performed by the personnel of the Provincial Administration Department, Ministry of Interior at <.05 Altogether, these factors of digital technology
skills had the predictive coefficient of .423 for foretelling the efficiency of digital technology performed by the personnel of the Department ofProvincial Administration, Ministry of Interior. 4)Several guidelines were suggested for developing the digital technology efficiency performed by the personnel of the department of provincial administration, Ministry of Interior. The budget for the procurement of materials and equipment for appropriate technology should be provided so that they can be usefully applied in managing the state affairs, serving the public, as well as facilitating the people’s services in order to transform their work into the digital model. The
personnel should be encouraged to improve and enhance their digital technology skills by emphasizing on learning from real practice; alternating or rotating the jobs; and consistently establishing guidelines, planning, and following
on. The organization should be equipped with communication devices such as mobile telephone connected to WiFi, or internet so as to efficiently enable the contact among the personnel and outsiders, upgrade the personnel’s potential to work together, share their work space, programs, monitors or hold videoconference, send email,
send/share messages and they can work together from different places conveniently and fast via online channel.
