Abstract

This study aimed to study the current state, desirable state, and the priority needs for fostering global citizenship among undergraduates at Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University. The sample consisted of 381 undergraduate students enrolled in the regular program during the first semester of the 2024 academic year, selected via simple random sampling. The research instrument was a five-point Likert scale questionnaire developed based on the UNESCO (2015) global citizenship education framework. The data analysis involved the modified Priority Needs Index (PNI modified), mean, standard deviation, and  percentage. The results showed that among the 3 learning domains, the cognitive domain had the highest priority need, followed by the behavioral domain, while the socio-emotional domain had the lowest priority need. When considering sub-elements, developing analytical and critical thinking skills was identified as the highest priority need... These results provide strategic guidelines for developing curricula and activities to effectively foster global citizenship characteristics that respond to global changes.
