Abstract

This study aimed to 1) examine changes in spending under the Khon La Khrueng Plus measure in Surat Thani province and 2) analyze the role of the measure in provincial economic circulation through three indicators: the cumulative number of users, the cumulative number of shops with transactions under the measure, and the cumulative total spending. This quantitative study used secondary data reported as cumulative values at each reporting date from the implementation of the Khon La Khrueng Plus measure in Surat Thani province across nine reporting periods, from 2 November to 31 December 2025. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including cumulative totals, changes, percentage changes, and per-unit averages. The findings showed that cumulative total spending increased from 238.93 million baht to 1,593.93 million baht, representing an increase of 1,355.00 million baht or 567.11 percent. The cumulative number of users increased from 382,739 to 706,122, or 84.49 percent, while the cumulative number of participating shops with transactions increased from 15,128 to 18,951, or 25.27 percent. In addition, cumulative average spending per user increased by 261.60 percent, and cumulative average spending per shop increased by 432.53 percent. The results indicate that the Khon La Khrueng Plus measure played a role in stimulating spending and supporting transaction-based provincial economic circulation. However, the results should be interpreted as descriptive evidence based on secondary data, rather than definitive proof of causal impact or economic multiplier effects.
