Although legal study in Thailand has been conducted for quite a while, law students and teachers may not appreciate that law itself is a product of an integration of different disciplines. Legal study has been recently divided to variety of specializations. Lawyers in one field of specialization may not understand and may be confused with different approaches taken by the other fields of specialization. In addition, the concept of interdisciplinary approach has just recently been called into academic institutions. It is, therefore, hard to find a person with expertise in many fields to teach the students. The teaching has been carried out in the form of team teaching. This form of education generates multidisciplinary, transdisciplinary or cross disciplinary approach. The knowledge so arises cannot be used effectively to solve problems of society because the said problems arise from many factors involving different disciplines. The author therefore would like to suggest the adoption of interdisciplinary approach to the legal study in Thailand.
