In a universal way, the right to make decisions about medical treatment in the last moments of life is a right in one's life. But for Thailand, the right to be patient, the relatives of the patients also use the right to replace the patient as can be seen from the practice in Thailand. At the end of life, the patient arrives. Patients are often unconscious enough to make the decision to be treated. Doctors often give relatives of patients a decision about medical care instead of patients.
Thailand has explored the concept of Thai lawyers in terms of the rights of patients and their relatives to make decisions about medical treatment in the last two lives of patients, namely, 1984 and 1995. These two conclusions are that Thai lawyers are increasingly aware of these rights. The social situation is changing, that is, the elderly society. There are more patients with chronic diseases. People are aware of the rights of patients. To receive information on the intentions of refusing medical treatment and murder from abroad. There is also a law that guarantees such rights. Therefore, it is expected that in the future there will be disputes related to such rights into the course of justice. Therefore, it should explore the Thai lawyer's understanding of the intention to refuse medical treatment at the end of his life.
According to a survey of Thai lawyers, the survey was conducted two times ago because of the lawyers’ reluctance to relinquish their medical care or relatives and doctors. Of patients who want to refuse medical treatment. The Thai lawyers found that it was criminal offense. It is therefore recommended to disseminate knowledge about the rights of patients in the intention to refuse treatment at the end of their lives.
