IMPACT OF JOB SATISFACTION ON ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT AMONG ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF IN PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES WITHIN THE DIGITAL ERA: A BIBLIOMETRIC REVIEW AND RESEARCH AGENDA
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the digital era, private universities leveraged technology to improve administrative efficiency and enhance organizational commitment. This study aimed to examine the influence of job satisfaction among administrative staff on organizational commitment within this context. Given that the digital revolution reshaped dimensions of job satisfaction and commitment, existing research lacked a cohesive model to explain their interaction in private universities.
This research employed a systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis to synthesize current knowledge and highlight gaps. The study investigated the core dimensions of job satisfaction affecting organizational commitment and explored mediating and moderating factors such as perceived organizational support, job engagement, and digital literacy.
Key findings highlighted how digital transformation, leadership practices, and employee engagement strengthened organizational commitment. The study contributed to theory by proposing a synthesis regarding the effect of job satisfaction on organizational commitment.
Practical contributions included strategies for private universities to enhance job satisfaction among administrative staff, thereby fostering greater organizational commitment. The research established a foundation for future exploration of these dynamics, offering actionable insights to address the challenges posed by digital transformation.
