CAUSAL FACTORS AND THE TECHNOLOGY ACCEPTANCE MODEL FOR ELECTRONIC PAYMENT SYSTEMS AMONG GENERATION Z STUDENTS, UDON THANI PROVINCE
Main Article Content
Abstract
The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the influence of subjective norms, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness on the acceptance of electronic payment technology among Generation Z students in Udon Thani Province; and 2) to confirm the structural relationship model in the context of Generation Z students in Udon Thani Province. Data were collected using questionnaires from a sample of 400 Generation Z students from 9 educational institutions in Udon Thani Province, selected by multi-stage random sampling. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results revealed that the factors influencing the acceptance of electronic payment technology among Generation Z students in Udon Thani Province were highly congruent with the empirical data. The relationships can be summarized as follows: 1) Subjective Norm, 2) Perceived ease of use, and 3) Perceived usefulness was positively and directly affected by the acceptance of electronic payment technology. The entire model was able to explain the predictive coefficient (R2) at 51.70% the results of the independent variables indicated that subjective norms had the highest influence on the acceptance of electronic payment technology, followed by perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, respectively.
