Factors Affecting Knowledge and Understanding of the Laws by Factory Entrepreneurs Related to Factory or Machine Inspections Using Private Inspectors

Abstract
The objectives of this study were to: 1) study the level of knowledge and understanding of the laws by factory entrepreneurs related to factory or machine inspections using private inspectors according to factory laws in the area of Udon Thani province, and 2) study factors affecting knowledge and understanding of the laws by factory entrepreneurs related to factory or machine inspections using private inspectors according to factory laws in the area of Udon Thani province. The sample group consisted of 258 factory entrepreneurs from Udon Thani province. Data were collected using a questionnaire, and the analysis employed statistics such as mean, percentage, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
The research findings revealed that: (1) overall, the knowledge and understanding of factory laws among factory entrepreneurs was at a moderate level ( Xbar = 3.19, SD = 0.62), and (2) the selected factors positively influenced their knowledge and understanding of the laws. The predictive variable with the highest predictive power was corporate governance factors (X1), followed by public relations factors (X2), and factors related to officials and agencies (X3). These three predictive variables explained 71.4% of the variance in knowledge and understanding of factory laws, with a forecast error of ±0.336. The regression equation formulated is:
