Guidelines for Development of Using Digital Platforms in School Administration under the Office of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Secondary Education Service Area

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: 1) study the conditions and problems of using digital platforms in school administration; and 2) presenting guidelines for developing the use of digital platforms in school administration. The research procedure included 2 stages.


Stage 1 was study the conditions and problems of using digital platforms in school administration. The sample group, using stratified sampling, consisted of 296 school administrations and teachers in school administration under the office of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya secondary education service area. The research instrument employed was a questionnaire. The reliability of the conditions was at 0.93. The reliability of the problems was at 0.95. Statistical analysis was conducted using mean, and standard deviation.


Stage 2 was presenting guidelines for developing the use of digital platforms in school administration. The key informants, obtained from purposive sampling, included 5 experts. The research instrument was a semi-structured interview and analyze the data with content analysis techniques. The research results revealed as follows:


1) conditions of using digital platforms in school administration overall, the practice is at a high level. The aspect with the highest average was academic administration, followed by budget management and the aspect with the lowest average is general administration and problems in using digital platforms in school administration overall, the practice was at   a low level. The aspect with the highest average was budget management, followed by personnel management. And the aspect with the lowest average is general administration;


2) guidelines for developing the use of digital platforms in school administration consisting of 32 action items, classified into 4 areas:


(1) academic administration there are 7 action items, such as schools should organize training for teachers to create knowledge. Understanding the use of digital platforms for measurement and evaluation;


(2) budget management there are 10 action items, such as school administrators appointing knowledgeable teachers. Digital platform capability is responsible for receiving the transfer of educational maintenance fees from parents clearly in writing;


(3) human resource management There are 7 action items, such as: Schools should choose to use digital platforms to publicize recruiting and hiring individuals to work in schools. which can directly interact with contacts Including submitting application documents online; and


(4) general administration There are 8 action items, such as schools should organize workshops on the use of digital platforms to promote student support systems so that teachers will have knowledge Understanding of filling out correct information.
